…how much more terrified can an ever terrified us-uk populace be made?…
If ever there was an enemy to vanquish, that enemy would be poverty, disease and sickness, which in most cases is easily thwarted with a modest outlay of money and commitment. Regrettably, profits there are not quite appealing. On the other hand, to kill and destroy to create an enemy that must then be killed and environment destroyed for plunder and ‘reconstruction’, now that is talking serious money. And in comes the packaging.
With such stubbornly gullible populace, the task requires little effort. The success of the Yazidi crisis was the incentive for other more ambitious projects. Obviously, neither the corporate MSM nor the preoccupied public would spend a moment to try to understand how a religious sect that very few in the West would have a clue about would suddenly be in crisis. Not a thought to even the remote possibility that the US with the UK and their ‘coalition of the willing’ is directly responsible for the catastrophe, the chaos that is Iraq. Neither shocked nor awed, nor embarrassed, are this lot. Read the rest of this entry »
…the bbc may well have a starring part in this update to its earlier documentary…
Since many revel in hysteria. Yazidis on a mountain! Thousands! Millions! Tens of millions! Genocide awaits! The ‘humanitarian’ US must act now! Oh, that was the rationale for bombing Iraq once again, where a ruthless IS band is still on a rampage against very expensively trained soldiers who just scamper off at the mere mention of the name ‘IS’. As sudden as their appearance, the Yazidis have vanished from the MSM headlines as the urge for Perpetual War is being sated from that successful deception. And, yes, in Iraq that very IS group had been lopping heads off, as just one of its many other life ending atrocities. [And that head lopping off business has also been going on in, say, Mexico?]
So onto Syria, not to Iraq whose Prime Minister had relinquished his British citizenship only shortly before his inauguration as PM. It is in Syria, where IS, formerly known as ISIS or ISIL, would choose to insult and threaten, of all countries, the exceptionalist US and its Western allies of fallen empires. But, before getting to those threats, a digression. Read the rest of this entry »
…this game is for the marbles, all the marbles…
The US President is on his game, teleprompter readied, as he prepares his game plan to deal with the latest and most terrible of ‘bad guys’ that could ever appear on the scene, and just in time. During some interview he would state and unambiguously so, as the establishment ‘Beeb’ would report, Iraq crisis: Obama to set out ‘US offensive against IS’. It mentions,
Speaking on NBC’s Meet the Press, Mr Obama said: “I’m preparing the country to make sure that we deal with a threat from Isil.”
IS, also often referred to as Isil or Isis, has taken over large swathes of Iraq and Syria in recent months, declaring the land it holds a “caliphate”.
Mr Obama went on: “On Wednesday, I’ll make a speech and describe what our game plan’s going to be going forward.“
[bold added for emphasis]
Clearly, no need to look ‘backward’ in preparing any game plan. Tabula rasa time. [Just a year ago the game plan for Syria was to be?] Read the rest of this entry »
…and the bluebird of happiness will be just trilling…
Invite two Yazidis, no more, who will start duplicating instantaneously into hundreds, then thousands. Rename yourself Mount Ferguson. Then declare is is present. And since you are not Bill Clinton, the US will respond immediately with lots and lots of aid (from even the UK and France and Australia), and then they will all declare victory – is is a thing of the past, tense aside. Peace in the valley. Joy on high.
After all, there was this nugget and inspiration from the National Journal regarding that activist, humanitarian US President,
The U.S., he said, won’t keep the refugees waiting either. “Earlier this week, one Iraqi in the area cried to the world, ‘There is no one coming to help,’ ” Obama said. “Well, today America is coming to help.”
Be of good cheer, Ferguson! Help is guaranteed, especially with this anti-democratic, terrifying behaviour from those is ‘bad guys’ beyond the Land of Freedom and Fast Food.
On second thought, on remembering US fame, patented in trade agreements, for destroying places to save them, scrap that idea…
…or be refugees to Nicaragua? Is the whole world watching and wondering, or what?…
…urgent mission to rescue centuries old religious sect under existential threat from IS formerly known as the group ISIS or ISIL; but first, erbil…
The fastest a humanitarian crisis, ‘genocide!’, has ever left the front pages. Before the
US UN Secretary-General could even receive his US UN ‘talking points’.
That IS is something else. To have made so many rapid strides of conquest, and accomplishments noticed only just recently by the US and its trusty allies. Sudden discovery must have set in when that grim band of zealots decided to conquer Erbil and all its goings-on there. And therein lay the carefully choreographed urgency, ‘genocide!’ to help the Yazidis, whose existence had been for centuries unthreatened in Iraq – until the US and its UK with their ‘coalition of the willing’ unleashed chaos.
So while undertaking some air ‘drops’ to urgently assist the stranded, beleaguered group of Yazedis, why not toss in some other activities. Bomb not just some military placements of this IS of amorphous form but also arm the Kurds in the process. And while at it, as a coincidence, see off that pesky PM Maliki? After all, who is noticing?
