…syrian refugees? and a child shall welcome them…

…unlike those responsible for their misfortune…

As the adults forget to cower in fear under their beds at the prospect of those Syrians invading their country, their children bring joy to the hearts of the refugees, their parents’ hearts and the hearts of other non-exceptional people worldwide. As the Independent (some freebies, then firewall) reports, Canadian children sang the same song for refugees that was sung to Mohamed when he sought refuge

Not to forget, Canada has pledged to accept 25,000 Syrian refugees (Germany, some 800 thousand), a crisis for which it bears little responsibility. This contrasts sharply with the behaviour of its neighbour where hatred and fear mongering find not just little opposition but hysterical incitement. Then again, Canada’s new Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has shown, and early, that deeds, especially good deeds, trump mere rhetoric.

Then again, what should one expect, as by its very implausible denial we have its confirmation, as well as confirmation of what most of the world has long known – the truly peace loving nature of the US.

…by their deeds, ye shall know them…
