…fulgencio, dead or not, you and the mafia we will return to your possession…
So what we have? Thirty minutes of training to be a secret agent, ‘Does a green poodle walk on water?’ She-Spy, ‘Only on a purple leash in the pale moonlight.’ As each spins clockwise, three times.
A USAID contractor with the imaginative name, Creative Associates International, decides to use yet again, the ruse of health care to recruit some Jaime Bonditos? To use such a ruse after innocent health care providers in Afghanistan and Pakistan are being killed because of previous cynical ploy used by, you guessed it, the US? You would really think that these…
Do we see some payback? We do suspect that the US spying on and harassing the Associated Press (AP) has sort of irked AP, and more than a tad. And renouncing stenography, even if temporarily, AP has decided to investigate the assorted lunatic and dangerous acts of the US. And what gifts did the AP bring us? We let The Guardian tell us, USAID programme used young Latin Americans to incite Cuba rebellion. And no, no, this is no article from The Onion. A few excerpts that should prompt reading the article and following this perverse joke,
An Obama administration programme secretly dispatched young Latin Americans to Cuba using the cover of health and civic programs to provoke political change, a clandestine operation that put those foreigners in danger even after a US contractor was sent to a Cuban jail.
Beginning as early as October 2009, a project overseen by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) sent Venezuelan, Costa Rican and Peruvian young people to Cuba in hopes of ginning up rebellion. The travelers worked undercover, often posing as tourists, and traveled around the island scouting for people they could turn into political activists.
In one case, the workers formed an HIV-prevention workshop that memos called “the perfect excuse” for the programme’s political goals – a gambit that could undermine America’s efforts to improve health globally.
As The Guardian notes there is no concern for the young louts too inexperienced to understand the gravity of their actions and the very serious and far reaching consequences of such a stupid venture. No better example of exceptionalist hubris. Of course similar ‘simple-minded’ capers are well known to those ‘outsiders’ who have seen The Comedians in action – in this century: the ‘street protests’ in Venezuela, Maidan in the Ukraine, the overthrow of Morsi, all those coloured revolutions, on and on. As the amateurs play at international politics and economics, so far with impunity, the innocent suffer and die amid the destruction that these amateurs have unleashed.
And a guess. What was the likely code name for the Coordinator of the Cuban Caper? Seenyor O? Comandante O? Comandante Zero seems better, as it all adds up.
…The Bumbling Brigade Floundering in the Bathtub of Piglets, and almost drown. Can it get any worse for a disoriented country and its foreign policy so totally, utterly irredeemably discredited within the last thirteen years? Only if el Presidente Rimbombante invites African leaders for some photo-op thingie?…
