…journalism and stenography… greenwald and establishment bbc…

If we remember the role of the BBC, not just as the voice of empire but as complicit in the overthrow of the democratically-elected President of Iran in 1953, then all will be understandable…

An intrepid, or, better, foolhardy BBC interviewer, Kirsty Wark, has a go at Glenn Greenwald. The expectation was for an aggressive interview, not one with such a hostile, petulant performance from the hostess, as if ‘following orders’. Clearly, the hapless interviewer is unaware of Mr Greeenwald’s bona fides, who, as usual demonstrates that unambiguous clarity of language, in exposition seldom found among forever-on-tv senior establishment figures who utter no more than platitudes and then leave the TV studio floors cluttered with tiresome clichés.

Mr Greenwald provides a high standard of journalism and communication that the self-promoted journalists and reporters of the MSM can only aspire to.

The interview is Glenn Greenwald on the NSA, GCHQ, and Spying, that makes evident the dereliction of duty, abandonment of all professional responsibilities on the part of the media for the 1%, with no attempt to disguise their exuberant integration into the plutocracy.

...same interview, but with comments from Greenwald, The NSA Debate Is As Much About Journalism As Surveillance, over at commondreams. Indeed, he makes the luminaries of the US and UK establishments seem duller than deepest darkness…
